POP 29 - " Black and white representation"
An interesting story from the rich history of KK Partizan is related to September 1975. On the eve of the season in which our Club won its first national championship title, the Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia made a decision that the Partizan team, reinforced by OKK Belgrade center Žarko Knežević, will perform as the national team at the Balkaniad.
The team consisted of Dražen Dalipagić, Branimir Popović, Miodrag Marić, Dragan Đukić, Žarko Zečević, Josip Farčić, Dragan Todorić, Boris Beravs, Goran Latifić, Dušan Kerkez, Dragan Kićanović and Žarko Knežević (who got a stomach infection during the tournament, so he did not played), led by coach Borislav Ćorković and team technician Milorad Đurić, convincingly triumphed in all three games, against Bulgaria, Greece and the host Romania, and won the title of Balkan champion.
