POP 21 - "Trophy in Podgorica for the beginning of a new domination"

KK Partizan won its eighth National Cup trophy on April 28, 2002 in Podgorica, by defeating Budućnosti in the final, with a score of 88:81. "Black and White" previously beat Vojvodina in the quarter-finals in the final tournament played in the "Morača" hall, and FMP Železnik in the semi-finals. With this triumph, the team led by Duško Vujošević ended the three-year dominance of Podgorica and began the "harvest" of trophies in the next decade. The heroes of the victory were Miloš Vujanić with 30 and Jovo Stanojević with 24 points, but also Vlado Šćepanović and Nenad Canak. When the captain at the time, Veselin Petrović, lifted the cup, the celebration began for more than 1,000 Partizan fans who cheered on our basketball players that evening in "Morača" from Podgorica.

Partizan played the final with the following lineup: Šćepanović 14, Petrović 3, Nađfeji, Gajić, Ostojić, Stanojević 24, Materić, Glintić, Krstić 6, Vujanić 30, Avdalović, Čanak 11.
