Stories about Partizan - POP 15 - "Radovan-Bata Radović"
At the end of the 50s and the beginning of the 60s of the last century, KK Partizan was preparing for the great rise that occurred a decade later. The results in that period were not superb (the biggest achievements were winning second place in the League in 1963 and 1966), but those years were marked by some of the great aces of our Club. One of them is the hero of this story.
Radovan-Bata Radović played for Partizan from 1957 to 1968. He played 216 games, scoring 4,188 points and still ranks fifth on the club's all-time scorers list. He was a player with an extraordinary reflection, who knew how to use this feature to the maximum in both defense and attack. An excellent scorer who was regularly at the top of the list of the best scorers in the Yugoslav championship. In 11 seasons in Partizan, he was second on the list of top scorers in the domestic League twice, and he never finished lower than fourth place. As a big fan of Partizan, he arrived in the black and white family in 1956 from OKK Belgrade and in the same year he became a member of the national team. He played for the national team until 1963, and was a participant in the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960.
